Title: Exhibit Suitability Rating Trick
Bukimi na Kyuubi - July 2, 2006 11:52 PM (GMT)
Here's a trick I learned - hit the keys Ctrl and G at the same time to turn on the grid. Build an exhibit and outfit it with everything. Do foliage last - this is where the trick is! In each grid square, place the animal's favourite foliage, eg. if it is a White Bengal Tiger or a Komodo Dragon, mangrove trees are the best choice for this. Fill each square up with four of the trees! The suitability rating will skyrocket!
A side note: Some foliage, like the Baobab tree, is only one piece to a grid square. In this case, this tip is pointless, lol!

Also, you can add rocks to the exhibit. The animal will let you know if he likes it or not. When you find the right rocks, keep adding until you get the red face. Delete the last one that caused the red face.
Also the *Ctrl-G, fill up the square* tip helps with rocks too. I generaly use the one large rock, as its cheaper in the long run, but if I use the smaller ones, I always fuill up the square. 4 small ones to a square.

I have used this theory for a few years now. I tend to place 2 of the animal's favourite foilege, And fill the 2 other 1/4's of the square of one rock and one other foilege (Obviously one which it likes)
I can't stand seeing exhibits that only have one foilege type. Looks so unrealistic i think, But then again. Thats just my Oponion.
P.s. To see what i mean, visit my ZT1 Zoos.

dinos destroy trees when they get mad. they get mad because their exhibit is not suitable enough for them. it's best to build dino exhibits before adopting them & only place them once you know the exhibit is very suitable for them.
several sites have very nice suitability guides for dinos - I've found that ZTUF is one of the best.

Dinos will bash through an unsuitable fence any time, aslong as they can reach it!
