Well, we just got EA,and a whole bunch of other expansions for Zt2 to play with,and it just seems like a waste to throw those games away and buy ZT3 and its upcomming Xp's. I think it will be nice if we had ZT2 for a few or a just a couple more years before bluefang should make a new Zoo Tycoon series =/

I voted no because there really isn't anything so drastic they could change. Anything else could be in a pack or something.

I voted not right now but if they will make one. I'm looking forward to some things that might be in there.

I voted no. EA is HUUUUGE and requires alot of harddrive space, making it slow, especially if you have all the other expanions. Making a ZT3 will probably make you computers die... and, well, that will just be a waste of time and money. so, no.

On one hand it could be amazing.
On the other it could do what ZT2 did to ZT1: take all the good stuff, destroy it, add some totally different good stuff, but keep the bad stuff.
Don't get me wrong, with all the expansions--I don't have AA or EA yet, but whatever--ZT2 is a solid, and very enjoyable, game. But it's one of those games that can be milked for so long in a variety of different ways, similar to the Sims 2. If they announce Sims 3 everyone will be annoyed, because 2 was already such a revolution that it's hard to improve on it. Same for ZT.
Also, technology is improving, but I sincerely doubt it will be so great that ZT3 will be significantly more amazing than ZT2 at this rate. Once they get virtual reality in there, I will be first in line to buy it. Once.

All I can say is if Zoo Tycoon 3 comes out; I doubt more than... 5% of the population will be able to play it. I'm running an amazing system... nVidia 8800 GTS, 3 gigs of DDR ram, 550 watt power source, quad core processor... and I'd be willing to bet that if ZT3 came out; you'd need better than that. Which... well.... let's say, that two of those part cost over a grand. And I don't think anyone would want to shell out that much to play a game... especially when ZT2 is still awesome.

I might get it but i don't think it should be released or even planned untill a major breakthrough in technology, ZT1 going from 2.5D isometric to full 3D in ZT2 was quite a big step, and since a forth dimension is near enough impossible in a game i doubt you could go further than a lot of expantions to improve the original. Plus as Jade Emperor said, i doubt many people's PCs could run it, i don'tthink mine could, the majority of the market for this game use mid range familly computers, suited for mild gaming, internet and media; ZT3 would be too taxing if it were as big a step as ZT1 to 2.

I simply don't know. ZT2 is already very good, and it cannot get improved. If they make a ZT3, it would have to be something else other than a computer game (maybe a REAL zoo,who nows...)

I voted maybe, But kinda Not right now too. Maybe in a gooooood long while but I'm still sprung on Zt2 and dont really want another Zoo Tycoon right now!

I easily get bored of ZT2... If they made ZT3 similar to ZT1 with better graphics, I think it would be a great game...

If they were to, I would like it if they include weather. = D

I can't think of anything radically different they could do for ZT3. 2D Isometrics to 3D is quite a breakthrough. One thing they could do would be improve the quality of the animals to be uuber-realistic, with no signs at all of the underlying polygons - with visible fur, feathers, etc.

But as previously said, that would require an equally amazing system to run it on. My computer can't even run ZT2 (without EA!) without slowing down.

If they do release it, they should release it later. Zt2 is new compared to some things, and it is still awesome. If they make it multilayer, well, thats a different story. :grin:
