Thanks for your ideas Moodygirl! Please allow me to explain why we havn't done what you are proposing:
Myspace isn't exactly what I would call "family-friendly" (Would
you?) and is our specific goal here at ZM is to keep it at what Blue Fang considers their games, "family-friendly". Why would we advertise a fansite about a game considered for children in a place where online threats and pests can be a problem? I don't think we want to risk that lol Some might argue that hey, the internet in itself is full of online pests and yes, Zoomania is part of that internet but in the end, ZooMania and Myspace just don't mix in my opinion =[
As for affiliating, yes, we have thought of that, of course! As you can tell from the bottom of the forum, we are very lucky to be affiliated by two big Zoo Tycoon sites, one called
Zoo Tycoon Design Centre (ZT2DC is more geared towards making mods and support for ZT2 creations) and the other being
ZooTek, so please visit them when you can! Yes, they're big, they both boast over 1000 members =) Sure, we do constantly keep our eyes open for more affiliates but for now, we're keeping it simple =)
Another way of advertising we use is through the official Zoo Tycoon website who have us listed up in their fansites list along with other big (way bigger) forums like Zooadmin and ZT Unleashed.
