In real zoos (which we do not have in ZT2, I am well aware) animals are rarely adopted as full grown adults. Any new animals brought into zoos these days are usually adolecent so they have longer to live. I propose to Blue Fang that they add a new age for our animals. You adopt them as adolecents (an intermediate age bwteen newborn and adult). I also think that when you put animals up for adoption, they shouldn't be adopted in a second (they will still disappear from your zoo to make for room). I think adolecents should have a much higher chance of being adopted by another zoo than adult animals, and there should be a process. If your animal is not adopted within a certain time then you get it back (whereas release to the wilds can be instant, as per usual). I've had this idea for a while, because I went on the San Diego Zoo website and they have four new animals - two young grizzlies, not born at the zoo, and two young spotted hyenas (also not born at the zoo).
Yes, Zoo Tycoon 2 should have more variety and realism in adoptions.
Yes, there are ways that ZT2 could be more realistic. It would be cool if you got to choose when you adopted the animal. Up by the male/female chooser-thing there could be a bunch of different options!
I think if ZT2 wnats to make it more popular (Not that it isn`t)
Thhey should do that.
