OK, here are the entries:
Dino KingMy area is Northern Ontario
In Northern Ontario winter means cold, snow and ice. Winter temperatures can get as low as -38 oC and only get as warm as -18 oC.

The Great Hungarian Plain is easily comparable to the Steppes of Mongolia. They're rolling hills of tall grasses that get very little snow in the winter, though what falls normally stays. Normal temperatures hover at around 10C [50F] but can drop as to as low as -20C [-4F]. But, for the most part, they don't see neither snow nor cold.
Typical animals here are the Kori Bustard [Túzokok in Magyar], the Lapwings [Bíbicek] and some wild horses [vad lovak], closely related to the ponies ridden by Mongolian Herders and the once-great Hunnic Tribes that inhabited this area.

The winter in a tropical rainforest is a very long, wet, and rainy season during which life is abundant and lush. I have chosen to display the Amazon Rainforest in this time.

The winter months (December to February) in Rwanda are the rainy season with one lasting from November to January and the other February lasting into the spring. Snow and frost is rarely seen, and only on the extreme peaks of the volcanoes, far above the forests.
The Park is one of the last strongholds of the mountain gorilla and is where Dian Fossey studied them for 20 years until her death.
