Different people are in different locations and have different Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Depending on how a slow period or potential downtime is affecting your ISP, you may be variously unable to access or have a slow connection to any given website. Not being able to get on ZooMania for an hour is nothing, your computer is fine, unless you can't access any internet sites at all...which isn't the case ;)
