Long gap between updates huh? Problem was, I didn't have anything I wanted to show! Well, I finally have a zoo all finished, so this thread will be a little more active.
So without further ado...
THE AMERICAN PRAIRIE ZOOAs you can see from our map, our zoo features modern and extinct animals hailing from North America and the Arctic Ocean.

Our tour begins, as always at the zoo gate. Right this way please, ladies and gents....
Cocker - December 2, 2007 11:23 PM (GMT)
Great Pic! Just By that Pic I can tell this is gonna be Promising Already.
Luna Sundiver - December 2, 2007 11:28 PM (GMT)
Blimey, didn't think there'd be anyone else up this late! You'll have to wait till tomorrow for pics... I'm going to bed now.
Luna Sundiver - December 3, 2007 08:52 PM (GMT)
And here we go... Lets start with the Arctic Ocean critters first, shall we? Here are our belugas and narwhals.

An underwater view of their little slice of heaven.

This is 'Lance', the zoo's prized two-tusked narwhal!

Lil' baby beluga.

Lovely Pictures! And I love the exhibit design. *Wishes she could get a two tusked narwhal*
Luna Sundiver - December 3, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
(I wasn't sure how many pics you could fit in one post, so I'm playing it safe and continuing here)
Last narwhal & beluga pic:

Next exhibit: Orcas!

That's all for today, folks, more pics tomorrow!
Nocturnal Dragon - December 6, 2007 01:57 AM (GMT)
It is awesome of how many Orcas you can fit in their great job!
Sonia Dreaming - December 6, 2007 11:46 PM (GMT)
I think Triceropi would fit. :lawl:
The rhino now sits on my desktop.
Whiskers - December 7, 2007 12:16 AM (GMT)
Awesome zoo! Can't wait to see more of it!
penguinman - December 7, 2007 12:42 AM (GMT)
Omg!! Thats so cool you got a 2-tusked narwhal, thats the first one I've seen!!
Anyways, awesome exhibits! They are all so large and so well done :D
orcalover22 - December 7, 2007 01:58 PM (GMT)
Wow, just by the Enterance Gate, could tell it was gonig to be a great zoo!! Great Job! Keep up the good work. :ohnoes:
Steenbok28 - December 7, 2007 02:59 PM (GMT)
Wow, a 2-tusked narwhal! How long did it take to get it? I've sat for up to half an hour adopting narwhals just to get one with 2 tusks, and still didn't get one! :S
Luna Sundiver - December 7, 2007 11:06 PM (GMT)
@ Steenbok28: The two-tuskers are born, not adopted - as I understand it, every male baby narwhal has a rare chance of turning into a two-tusker when it grows up.
(On that note, I've heard it's possible for a female to develop a tusk - anyone ever seen one? I know I haven't.)
@ Sonia Dreaming: The rhino pic's one of my favourites too :aww: glad someone else agrees!
@ Penguinman, Whiskers & orcalover22: Thank you!

Ok I admit, I've been downright lazy in regards to updating this :smack:. I have a bit of bad news about the Prairie Zoo; the save file somehow got corrupted and I had to delete it. :ohnoes: I do still have some pics in reserve, but they'll be the last ones. They'll be up as soon as I can upload them to Photobucket.
EDIT:
Up the hill from the orca exhibit is a large area for guests with a restaurant...
http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee278/L...%20zoo/pic0.jpgsome aquarium kiosks (and flowers for looks)
http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee278/L...0zoo/pic1-1.jpgand a playground for the kiddies.
http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee278/L...0zoo/pic2-1.jpgOnto another exhibit, with beavers!

hupdo - February 5, 2008 03:06 AM (GMT)
Wow, your marine exhibits are better than mine ever could be! :o
Luna Sundiver - February 6, 2008 09:36 PM (GMT)
Thanks hupdo :aww: ... anyways, on with the pics.
Next door to the beavers is a dinosaur exhibit, with stokesosauruses.

We go in and one of the adults comes up to us for a closer look.

The second of our pair and their baby.
Luna Sundiver - February 6, 2008 09:59 PM (GMT)
Next exhibit features the tyrannosaurus.
A peek into their lair...

The female taking a snooze in the cave...

..while her mate amuses himself by growling at the guests.

One big happy tyrant lizard family!
Luna Sundiver - February 6, 2008 10:06 PM (GMT)
These pics are of a sort of scenic park area for the guests between the rex exhibit and the next one.

I'm on a roll tonight, heh.
This next pic is the only one I got of my giant camels..

Now this exhibit is a mixed one, combining wolves and Triceratops.
First pic is of the wolf family chilling out under the elevated path.

The mother wolf with her cubs, apparently oblivious of the presence of the Triceratops family they share the enclosure with (and pretty peacefully I might add, the two species get along just fine)

An interesting little thing I noticed with this exhibit; when a triceratops rampages and smashes up a tree, which leaves all these little fragments of wood around, I've seen the wolves playing with the fragments.
Luna Sundiver - February 6, 2008 10:39 PM (GMT)
The very last set of pictures from the AP Zoo - again, I can't show you any more due to the save file becoming corrupted, you'll need to look at the map in post 1 to see what I did have in this zoo. At least now I'm done putting these up I can concentrate on a new project.
So... the last pics of the Prairie Zoo is of the sabretoothed cat exhibit.
