Hey guys. Since I have a widescreen monitor I put the game to 1440x900 32 bit. But nooooooo, the game doesn't want me to be happy. For some reason whenever I restart the game it resets to 1280x1024 32 bit. How do I permanently fix it so that it permanently stays on 1440x900?

Open your options.xml in C:/Documents and Settings/Your Profile/Application Data/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon 2/Your Profile

The first line includes something like:

<Graphics fullScreen="0" graphicsDetail="high" screenWidth="1024" screenHeight="768" screenDepth="32" antiAliasing="false" />

Change the Width and Height things and save. If it doesn't open with those settings, then the game generates you a new options.xml for some reason and I don't know how to work around it.

Btw, 1024x768 is the highest screen res I can get ZT2 to show, even though I have a monitor capable of much more. It might just not like that resolution, particularly if you have a graphics card that can't handle it.
