Title: what NOT to do
Description: helpful tips on what not to do in zt2
Koala Komander - July 22, 2006 05:49 AM (GMT)
my tips: dont place carnivores and plant eating animals in the same exhibit. guest get unhappy when lion start stalking the gazzeles and frightening them...or you lion might get huingry and eat it. :o
also whatever you do. tropical rainforest and tundra dont make good mixed exhibits!
for all our sakes, dont block the entrance for the zookeeeper to get in with water or an objecy,or you'll get some pretty unhappy animals.
White Rhino - July 22, 2006 06:01 AM (GMT)
Another what not to do is do not put free-roaming peafowls in a half made zoo (they will get pregnant and lay eggs on the side with nothing near it)
Pavocristantus - July 23, 2006 10:57 AM (GMT)
for javan rhinos, don't put the large concrete shelters back against the exibit wall, the rhinos somehow manage to climb out of the lil' window and escape!
koalaexpert - July 24, 2006 08:21 PM (GMT)
Don't ever put aa food court in an exhibit once I did that in an elephant cage to make it look like a village and guest got mad because they cuodn't reach it so then I elevated it wth terain and the trash can where in the cage and people got stuck in the exhibt.
Agent Beaver - August 12, 2006 08:50 PM (GMT)
Never save while the game is paused. I'm not sure if it's my computer but if I do that my game crashes an I have to turn my computer off.
Rhino Rangler - August 26, 2006 04:21 PM (GMT)
Never ever put nile monitors in with komodo dragons in the same exhibit.
All the dragons ever do is chase the monitors everywhere and both speicies
get realy hungry and thirsty.
Agent Beaver - September 17, 2006 04:55 PM (GMT)
Never pu live food lizard in with a user made animal made before AA.
THey do nothing but stalk it and never attack it. They eventually complain because they are hungry and thirsty and its really annoying.
Great White - November 26, 2006 01:21 AM (GMT)
Never let Blacktips have access to any land, they jump out of the water and on land.Be careful, even in tanks they do this and I don't know the solution!
Never let Green Sea Turtles or Rockhoppers live with Sea Lions. The Sea Lions eat them!!

Great White - December 10, 2006 11:35 PM (GMT)
You mean the dolpihins eat the Rockhoppers and Turtles!!!Cool, I might try that...
Nothing yet, wait...
gibbon_master - December 13, 2006 12:55 AM (GMT)
do not place people in a exhibit cuz the people well get killd and lave the zoo
Great White - December 13, 2006 04:16 AM (GMT)
That's obvious.
STILL NOTHING...
There is no reason to state that you have nothing to say. You can just say your comment and end your post.
Never create a big pack of wolves.Even if they are happy they will kill often each other.Once I had a pack of 7 and when I came back I only had 4 left!(6 or 7 if you include the babies)
Kiger - December 23, 2006 06:58 PM (GMT)
Do not put more than 5 or 6 live food lizards in an exhibit, especially if you are just putting the animals in the exhibit. They will stalk the lizards untill they are all dead. And wil become very hungry, thristy, even tired.
Also, I'm not sure if this is true,[I assumed] but when all the lizards are dead and uneaten the animal will complain about the smell.
This is mainly will the Ratel and Secretary Bird as far as I know. And I'm sure others.
dino king - December 23, 2006 10:21 PM (GMT)
If you put t-rex and tricaratop's you have to whach the babys becaus the tricartop's will kill the baby rex and the rex's will kill the baby tricaratop's. ( they usully don't kill the older one or there the same speseas.)
Eriorguez - December 29, 2006 02:46 AM (GMT)
Never build a big zoo with the game paused and unpause it when you have finished unles your computer is VERY GOOD.
About the Nile monitor/Komodo dragon issue, they can be together if you pay them A LOT OF ATENTION.
Kiger - December 29, 2006 09:43 PM (GMT)
To add on. Never build a large zoo unless your computer is terrifcally amazing. Mines a pretty good computer. But ZT2 is it's enemy. It cannot stand too many animals or a large zoo. It slows down and eventually freezes. But that's what you ahve to risk for a good quality game.
TigeressAlbie - January 3, 2007 02:39 AM (GMT)
Never put a meat-eating exbit under a exelvated path the guestes some how get of the path and in the exbit  :blankstare: :dunce:
horselover6 - March 4, 2007 04:58 AM (GMT)
oK>for some of you NEVER put a galapagos tortiose in you zoo cuz the game will crash UNLESS u don't have that one buggy.
NEVER put a meerkat in with a baby aardvark, the meerkat will stalk it.
Agent Beaver - March 4, 2007 06:28 AM (GMT)
Yay, I'm so lucky I don't have a buggy tortoise!
Ive also never had issues with meerkats/Aardvaks. Meerkats and Rhinos on the other hand...
DragonGod - March 4, 2007 07:40 AM (GMT)
Never EVER keep a dino inside a weak enclosure. they break out and gore/eat everyone. the only exception is if you keep them in a ditch like i do...
Nocturnal Dragon - March 11, 2007 08:15 PM (GMT)
Never put two male meat eating animals in the same exhibits. At some point they start to fight each other until one of them is killed
Agent Beaver - March 11, 2007 11:30 PM (GMT)
Really? The only ones ive had issues with were my wolves. Everything else was fine.
Nocturnal Dragon - March 11, 2007 11:58 PM (GMT)
yes it once happened with my cheetehs   and polar bears
King Hoopla - March 12, 2007 12:34 AM (GMT)
Don't use pits or cliffs to contain animals. They'll run straight up the side and get out.
kangorilaphant - March 12, 2007 05:15 PM (GMT)
depends on the animal, ifind if you make a sunken exhibit with clifs around it aswell its fine for most animals, but pandas, gazzeles and a few others always get out.
King Hoopla - March 12, 2007 05:46 PM (GMT)
Anything that can move fast can run right out.
Kiger - March 12, 2007 08:39 PM (GMT)
I've had no problems...Usually i raise the land to make an exhibit and lower the land the animal will have to walk on a little so I can put low fencing. It's kept most animals, haven't tried on all but even polar bears like it.
horselover6 - May 20, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
Actually, they are MAN-eating, they only eat adult men. not girls, not women, and not boys.
Yah, in Zt and Zt2, the only guests that can get eaten are adult males.
One more
If u ahve a bazilosaurus (which u can get at zt volcano) don't put it on dry ground or in shallow water, they'll get sick and die, fast!
TigerGirl - June 23, 2007 07:41 AM (GMT)
Well about the wolf thing. (it may be my computer) Only the Females attack each other, same with my E. Wolves. The wolves fight and one turns into a carcass!
Guests seem to get unhappy about the G. Sable Antelopes fight each other. (its play fighting I know).
Another thing that you shouldn't do is get the Masai females to breed with R. Giraffes, the babies never get nursed ehrn they are Masai. (this is a glitch and may not happen to everyone)

Females will do the same, it is not just males.
YAYtiffany - July 11, 2007 01:25 PM (GMT)
I put a galopagos tortiosie in MY zoo and nothing happened!! Everything was normal. BTW, I ALWAYS have my zoo on pause and create a BIG zoo then i unpause it, ITS FINE! :giggle:
King Hoopla - July 11, 2007 10:23 PM (GMT)
Never put a rex anywhere but rainforest. It will get mad, sick, and just fall apart.

Ur lucky, this thing with the galapagos Tortiose happens to some people not everyone, and unfortenately, I'm one of those people who have the glitch.
Great White - August 7, 2007 09:16 AM (GMT)
So the game crashes EVERY time?
Hughesy - August 7, 2007 11:03 AM (GMT)
Only if you placw the g tortoise but i don't have that problem so I am happy
AniSkyOkami - August 8, 2007 01:27 AM (GMT)
The tortises not working are already in a seprate topic. Click
here for the topic.
marinemania5 - August 13, 2007 08:08 AM (GMT)
There are numorous things to keep in players mind while playing the game.
I don't think I could remember all of them.
Cocker - August 13, 2007 05:09 PM (GMT)
Never put a Giant Sable Antelope and a Meerkat (or UCAs from the meerkat) together! The GSA will just keep chasing it until they die from hunger and thirst.

It happens to me. :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
That's why I never use the tortoise.
Also, Never put a meerkat in a Scrub rail fenced exhibit next to another exhibit with the same type of fence. If you do so, the meerkat may get under the fence and dig it's way into the other exhibit. It gets even worse when you have a carnivore. It will stalk, chase, and try to kill the meerkat.
Panda King - September 13, 2007 08:34 PM (GMT)
LOL my meerkat was just stalking a zebra. :blankstare:
NEVAR EVARmake a pit exhibit without a fence. Guests wil actually jump in and get eated. Oh and once a guest jumped into my penguin exhibit from the sky tram, an the penguin walked up to them, his status message saying "Going to interact with Joe Shmo" and then the guest just dissapeared!
